SOULGRIND: New Album To Include Bonus DVD

SOULGRIND, the Finnish band featuring former LULLACRY frontwoman Tanja "Whisper Lilith" Kemppainen (a.k.a. Tanya),will include a bonus DVD with their upcoming album, "The Origins of the Paganblood", due on January 24, 2005 via France's Holy Records.

The bonus disc will feature two old video clips ("Tearflower" and "Song Of Mantsi"),old demos, previously unreleased songs, tracks that were previously issued on various seven-inch singles, pictures, live material and "some shit from rehearsals," according to a statement from the band. "We try to fix a video from the new album as well," the group write.

"The Origins of the Paganblood" was recorded and mixed over an eight-week period and features a guest appearance on lead guitar by CHILDREN OF BODOM's Roope Latvala (SINERGY, ex-STONE). "The cover art is almost done also and it should be sent to France within a week or so," the group write. "The cover shall be a painting/digi design done by Filip Wärnström, Sweden."

As previously reported, SOULGRIND have negotiated a deal with Icarus Records for the rights to their 1997 album, "Whitsongs". The band are planning on reissuing the album themselves or through a "cool" label. Interested parties should contact the group via [email protected].

SOULGRIND's next live appearance will take place on January 7, 2005 at Sirkkelirock at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are CARPATHIAN FOREST, BEHEXEN and HORNA.
